this songs inspo came from a Paris shooting at a concert. everyone was trying to save everyone else, and that hit him hard, mostly because that's what they do. he wrote this song in the form of two kids trying to save each other instead of themselves. it also relates the the music video. in the video, they went to a hotel owned by a really weird guy who set traps to keep them stuck or held prisoner. they keep trying to save each other, and they never truly get out of it, because once they escape, they turn on the teli and the weird hotel keeper has their I.D.s.
