The song seems to be about....prepare yourself kids....SATANISM!!!! "Out of the blue and into the black" refers to turning one's life over to the "darkside". "Rock and roll can never die/there's more to the picture than meets the eye"....this hints at the invisible (spiritual) force behind r'n'r (demonic) and suggests r'n'r will endure because of it. Why would I interpret the lyrics in that way? Because MANY of the biggest names in r'n'r are involved in the occult: Jimmy Page, Ozzy, Beatles, Stones, Elvis, Beach Boys (yes you read that right), Eagles, Bowie, etc. I do not have any info on whether or not Neil has any occult connection, but there seems to be a pattern here! Incidently, Kurt Cobain, who quoted some of the lyrics to this song in his suicide note, was involved in Satanism. Yeah, I know you don't believe any of this because your top 40 dee jays never talk about it. They ain't as hip as they think. I hope I didn't scare you kids.....don't look under your bed when you lie down to sleep tonight.
