I think the song basically tells about the man who feels happy that he has a awesome woman who always helps him out whenever he needs helps, just like an angel. The man also knows that without her love, his love is just nothing. Then, the word 'drunk' and 'high', in my opinion, represent about how the mans feels too much happy because of the woman.
