Given the timeframe when this song came out, and the idea that politicians essentially build a career on handshakes, I have always thought it was at least referring in passing to Alaska Governor Sarah Palin! It could, of course, refer to just about any female politician or celebrity, but Palin just came to prominence at EXACTLY the right time. Yeah...SHE didn't get there just by SHAKING HANDS, IMHO!
