May 29th 2013!⃝From the master of Pop, 'Rock With You' delivers grand mastery. The opening line:
"Girl, close your eyes" leads us to think that this is about some lover of Michaels, but think again. Really. Oh no, this ain't about love, its about the age old game of Rock, Scissors, Paper.
"Let that rhythm get into you": timing of the hands pumping before the draw.
"Relax your mind, Lay back and groove with mine": Mikey is daring this girl to guess his draw; don't fight it, roll with the groove.
But Mr. Jackson is only teasing. As the song ebbs into the chorus, we are shown his evil side. He plans to throw rocks all night, "Rock you into day, sunlight".
One tough cookie. Hopefully the song's damsel has some paper in her arsenal.
