J. Cole is basically saying that he's in love with a girl. He raps about crushing on girls he can't have. But, he sees his crush on the street and he follows her home. He says it's just to see where she lives. He finally gets the courage to talk to her and tells her they can hang out and he can rap for her but shes says she doesn't like rap and that she has a boyfriend. At the end of the song, he talks about killing her boyfriend and finally being with her. It's a pretty messed up song but it's fire lmao.
