Jan 12th 2012!⃝I've known this song for many, many years since I was a little girl. I had known it for years before I was aware of the people who wrote and sang it so, when I was younger, it sounded like a song of happiness to me, a woman singing about her relationship with the man she loves('Have mercy baby, on a poor girl like me, you know I'm falling, falling, falling at your feet. I'm tingling right from my head to my toes so help me make the feeling grow'
When I got a bit older and became aware of Fleetwood Mac I started listening a bit closer to the lyrics in all their songs. It was then, that this song started to sound like a pleading for acceptance ('Have pity baby, just when I thought it was over' and 'I'm begging you for a little sympathy, if you use me again it will be the end of me')
There's also the thrill of love in there to ('coz when the loving starts and the lights go down and there's not another living soul around, you woo me until the sun comes up and you say that you love me')
All in all, I love any song sung by Christing McVie. Love her voice and her ability to put her soul into her lyrics. xx :)
