"Never Again" is David Draiman's response to Holocaust denial and antisemitism. He used the song as an outlet to vent his anger about these issues and put it into context. He says, "sometimes lighter music just isn't appropriate for what you're feeling." Because of his family's victimization in the Holocaust, he attempts to speak on behalf of the survivors by saying "this is something that was real, something that happened, and it not only affected the Jewish people, it affected many people." In his song, he says "for the countless souls who died, their voices fill this night/ sing with me, never again, oh/ They aren't lost, you see, the truth will live in me." It is ultimately a very powerful and heartfelt song.
