I always thought the boom boom was either, literally, loud music or just being very attracted to someone. I didn't think it was alcohol, and it would be kind of creepy if it WAS alcohol... to me it all sounded like innocent fun, 'i'm giving you my everything, my very best' the lyrics don't particularly strike me as referring to ANYTHING non consensual... I know bc those kinds of songs really creep me out.
